About My Little Things Family

Small moments.

Big memories.

Hi, I’m Lucy. I’m a wife and a mom to Noah, 6, and Liz, 3. My Little Things Family grew out of the questions I ask in my own home: What does my child need right now? Is this phase normal? How can we make everyday life a little calmer, more meaningful, and more enjoyable?

I don’t have perfect answers, and I don’t believe any parent does. What I can offer is a thoughtful place to explore those questions together.

About the author

Motherhood has made me curious about far more than activities to fill an afternoon. I think about how children learn, what helps them feel secure, how families build traditions, and how to navigate the difficult days as well as the joyful ones.

When a question stays with me, I research it and turn what I learn into an article I would have wanted to read myself. I look for trustworthy guidance, books, and research where they are relevant, and I try to make clear what comes from a source and what comes from my own experience as a mother. I also share ideas, places, and discoveries that I think other families might genuinely enjoy.

Some articles begin with a challenge in my own family. Others begin with something a parent has wondered aloud or a subject I want to understand better. All of them are written with the same intention: to be useful to a real family living a real, imperfect life.

I’m glad you’re here. I hope you find an answer, a new idea, or simply the reassurance that you’re not the only one asking these questions.
